My current research is focused on the following topics:
Prehistoric lithic technology: stone tools analysis, mainly from Lower and Middle Palaeolithic sites
First settlement of Eurasia: The first human dispersals in Europe and Asia, including the analysis of archaeological materials from the oldest sites of Europe.
Bibliometrics: Analysis and evaluation of scientific production related to prehistoric archaeology and human evolution.

Among these papers stands out 59 publications in journals indexed by WoS /Scopus, such as: Nature, Science, PNAS, Nature Communications, Journal of Human Evolution, Current Anthropology, Journal of Archaeological Science, Radiocarbon or Scientometrics (h-index= 22, according to WOS; and h-index = 35, according to Google Scholar)
